MBA - Net Tangible Value Add

So, there I go today.... finally a tangible value add of MBA.. yes, an employment offer..

On different parameters, I would put my subjective comments as follows

Company: Unheard of. But partners are ex-Gartmore and ex-Goldman and Macquarie.
Role: Senior Analyst
Profile: Brilliant
Responsibilities: Small and Huge. Includes evaluation of deals and serving nespressos (4th employee after 2 partners and 1 admin exec)
Exposure: Direct facing with investees and co-investors and other parties
Bosses: A Scot and an Ozzie. If they were to run for best boss competition, they would win hands down. Probably, one of the handful guys in WORLD, to have blessed with such bosses.
Work - Life Balance: Extremely great. Such that, after other roles I have done in past, I feel little under worked.
Pay: An yet, Industry Standards. No compromise on that.

After all, MBA for me was successful if you were to go by strictest sense of achievement... (though, I dont support that theory which is evident from my other posts)

And is it the end of the Journey, I started on Feb 27, 2008? I don't think so... More posts to follow about other experiences (one with the actual job hunt process)...

and my friend, this is just the start of another journey... ek kahaani khatam toh duji... shuru ho gayi mamu...

I am not sure what the key to happiness is... But I know, for sure, that all unhappiness in world sources its roots in unmet expectations...

Opportunity may knock at any time of the day... you just need to be really at your best all times..

Coz sometimes, you might not know but opportunity has a friend coming along with it..

Coz sometimes, the knocking may not be so audible, but you need sharp ears to hear slightest of knock...

Coz sometimes, you dont expect anything from the knocking, but its good to leave your doors open...

Rainy Mornings

I miss.. snuggling comfortably in bed under blanket and thinking bhaad mein gaya kaam...

I miss.. the lazy morning chores while watching the trains pass by filled with bursting crowds outside my window..

I miss.. the fresh wet smell of soil..

I miss.. the perfectly hot cuppa of Milo (only Mom knows the secret of perfectly hot)

I miss.. the haggling of rickshaws with the black umbrella in my hand

I miss.. the sigh and smile when autowallah says yes to 'Saki Naka'

I miss.. the splashing water on roads

I miss.. the traffic jams which makes my trip more leisurely (who wants to reach office early anyways)

I miss.. the colorful raincoats of school children and designer umbrellas of aunties.

I miss.. Jaggu and Tarana on Go 92.5 FM

I miss.. shuffling of FM channels on my phone

I miss.. the occasional sprinkle of cold rain on my face when gush of wind opens up the side covers in auto

I miss.. the cool wet breeze

I miss.. the hot cutting chaai before the work

I miss.. the pitter patter sound of rains and whooshing sound of wind while at work..

I miss.. the Bollywood rain special in afternoons on Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM

I miss.. Mumbai Rainy Mornings!
